These days, almost all the aviation news about Russia covers their military’s serious and provocative bomber sorties. But here is some news that will lighten the mood. Check out these Russian pilots playing helicopter golf
The accompanying Reuters article says that this rousing round of “heli-golf,” was part of the Russian Polo Club’s Tseleevo Winter Open. Pilots played this past weekend on a course just outside Moscow, and each game cost participants about $300.
The helicopter shown in the video appears to be a Robinson R66. This make tends to be the preferred choice for any extreme sport or activity. But frankly, out of all the things that we at Aviation.com have seen this bird do, helicopter golf is rather tame.
