Aloha Airlines has had marine life artist Wyland paint life-sized images of various marine creatures by hand on one of its aircraft to honor Hawaii's endangered marine species.

The aircraft that has been painted is a Boeing 737-700 which Aloha flies between Hawaii and its six U.S. West Coast destinations. From Hawaii, Honululu-based Aloha serves Oakland, Sacramento, Orange County and San Diego in California and Las Vegas and Reno in Nevada.

Wyland has painted life-size images of humpback whales, bottle-nose dolphins, spinner dolphins, tiger sharks, Hawaiian monk seals, green sea turtles, tropical reef fish and a Laysan albatross on the 737-700, which Aloha has named "Koholalele." In the Hawaiian language this means "flying, or leaping, whale."
